Our name and our ethos are one and the same: Joie de Vivre!

 

This ageless French expression reflects our cheerful zest for life as well as our core camp philosophy. Initially just 20 'Joiers' in 2015, we have expanded to a camp of 80 strong, from places all over the globe; France, Belgium, Germany, Ukraine, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Korea, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States.

 

All are welcome in our ever-growing family. This year, our focus is providing a space for fellow Burning Man community members to meditate, stimulate and invigorate their bodies and minds along the journey to and from the playa. By offering unique activities, pick-me-ups, and opportunities to connect -- we hope to spread our Joie to all who wander our way.

We all embrace a “Joie de Vivre” experience, but what does

that really mean? It reflects a cheerful enjoyment of life; an exultation of spirit. It can be a joy of conversation, a joy of eating, dancing, storytelling...really anything one might do that brings about bliss and a truly magical state of being.

comprehensive joy...a philosophy of life!
